To educate the public about citizen access to meetings of D.C. boards and commissions, the D.C. Open Government Coalition has published a guide to the recently enacted Open Meetings Amendment Act of 2010. The statute, passed by the D.C. Council in December, greatly increases access to meetings of public bodies, including the Council.
The guide provides an explanation of the new law and suggestions on what to do if you are barred from a meeting.
